Opuntia humifusa 'Prickly Pear Cactus' - 20cm

Prickly Pear Cactus  is a unique looking plant, long-lived perennial with the pads of this cactus resembling bunny ears. It produces yellow flowers which bloom from June to July and red fruit and can grow 2-3 feet tall by 1-4 feet wide.  It requires full sun with dry to very dry sandy soil and is drought tolerant. 

 A very hardy plant that is low maintenance. Thrives well in bright direct sunlight or partial sun, at least for 4 to 6 hours per day. Water only if the soil is dry. In autumn and winter, water only once in 3-4 weeks.
